Studies have found number of factors that are included on the causes of cervical cancer.HPV infection is the main cause of cervical cancer.HPV infection along with many other factors increases the chance of getting cervical cancer. Following are some of the causes of cervical cancer that can cause symptoms of cervical cancer.
- HPV infection: HPV is in fact a group of viruses that can cause infection of cervix. An HPV infection which cannot be treated properly can cause cervical cancer.HPV infection is the cause of almost all cervical cancer symptoms.
- HPV viruses are very common as they pass from one person to other through sexual contact.
- Lack of regular pap tests: Cervical cancer is common among those women who do not have regular pap tests as this test helps doctors in finding abnormal cells or cancer cells.
- Smoking: Women having a habit of smoking have more chances of developing cervical cancer.
- Weakened immune system: It’s a body’s natural defense system.
- Sexual history: It is noted that women who have many sexual partners are at the highest risk of developing cervical cancer. Or in another case woman having sex with a man who has many sexual partners can also at risk for cervical cancer symptoms.
- A long-term intake of birth control pills
- Giving birth to may children
- DES(diethylstilbestrol)

- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Increased vaginal discharge
- Pelvic pain
- Pain during sex
