This can be due to many factors i.e. obstruction and ulceration within the appendix and bacterial invasion are major appendicitis causes. These conditions allow favorable sites for bacterial multiplication and appendix pain. In such conditions appendix get inflammation and swells. It becomes rupture when it fills with pus cells.Rupture signs include appendicitis symptoms, which retained for more than 24 hours. These symptoms of appendicitis include fast heartbeat, increased count of white blood cells and high fever. Sometime the symptoms and signs of appendicitis disappear when appendicitis treatment is provided with antibiotics but symptoms of appendicitis can occur again.

Obstruction within the appendix causes the inflammation and swelling of appendix as a result of which it becomes necessary to remove the inflamed part through surgery. If appendix is not removed, it can rupture to spread infection throughout the abdomen. This rupture may cause the formation of abscess, which is a pocket filled with pus.

There are two ways through which appendix surgery can be done i.e. traditional and laparoscopic. Laparoscopic surgery needs three or four cuts and traditional appendectomy need only one large incision. Patients feel better after surgery.

In case of appendix rupture, infection spreads in the whole body and patient have to stay in hospital for a long time. In such situation, treatment will follow intravenous antibiotics and fluids. A burst appendix causes the surgery to be more complicated. Radiologist places a drain in belly to remove some infection of burst appendix before appendicitis operation.

Nerve pain arises because the nerve may be pinched, trapped, damaged or compressed which may occurs due to other diseases thus affecting nerve. Medications for the relief of pain are given by the doctors depending on pain type which include anticonvulsants, antidepressants, topical agents and antiarrhythmics.

There can be many causes of nerve pain. Some of them are:

Use of certain medication and drugs

Irritation by certain chemicals

Diabetes

Certain infections like lyme disease, syphilis and shingles

Porphyria

Tumors (which can put pressure in nerves)

Inflammation including irritation and swelling

Trauma and surgery

Chronic renal insufficiency

The cause of nerve pain in most of the cases remains unknown. Most common form of nerve pain or neuralgia is trigeminal neuralgia. Neuralgia can occur in any age. There may be sciatic nerve pain which needs immediate nerve pain medication. For different stages of sciatic nerve pain relief, nerve pain treatment may vary.

It will prevent further attacks of migraine. Two approaches are used to treat migraine i.e. Abortive and preventive. The main objective of abortive migraine treatment is to stop it once it starts in patient.

The medications used for abortive treatment of migraine are given to those patients who vomit during a headache. Preventive treatment of migraine is used if migraine patient has more than one migraine attack per weak. The main objective of this treatment is to lessen the severity and frequencies of migraine headache attacks.Antidepressants are included in preventive migraine treatment.

Non medication therapies for migraine include:

Using biofeedback, ice and relaxation techniques are helpful in preventing migraine attack once it has started.

Sleep is the best medicine for migraine headache providing migraine headache relief.

Migraine triggers include smoking and avoiding foods rich in tyramine and sulphates as in wines and nitrates.

Acupuncture has been suggested as a useful migraine therapy. A healthy life style, good nutrition, adequate intake of fluids, exercise and sufficient sleep are also helpful. Pain killers and non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs also provide migraine relief.

What is chronic fatigue syndrome?

Chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) is an enervating and complicated disorder that is delineated with esoteric fatigue, which is not ameliorated with bed rest and can be aggravated with any physical or mental activity.

Patients with a fatigue syndrome often describe some non specific signs and symptoms including memory loss, muscle pain, impaired muscle weakness, post-extensional fatigue and insomnia.

To diagnose chronic fatigue syndrome patient should satisfy two most important conditions.

They must have severe chronic fatigue that lasts for six months or more.

Contemporaneously they declare complaints like memory impairment or short term memory loss, tender lymph nodes, joint pain, swelling, muscle pain, restless sleep, headaches, malaise all lasting longer than 24 hours.

There are some generally recognized chronic fatigue syndrome symptoms (CFS).

Fibromyalgia syndrome

Neurasthenia

Chronic mononucleosis

Myalgic encephalomyelitis

Sleep apnea

Narcolepsy

Hypothyroidism

Depressive disorders

Bipolar effective disorders

Autoimmune disease

Obesity

Subacute infections

Abuse of alcoholic substances

Hormonal disorders

Eating disorders

Schizophrenia

Cancer

Abdominal pain

Chest pain

Chronic cough

Diarrhea

Anxiety

Panic attacks

Breath shortness

Nausea

Night sweats

Earaches

Dizziness

Dry eyes

Irregular heartbeat

Morning stiffness

Irritability

Skin sensations

Weight loss

There is no specific cure and chronic fatigue syndrome diagnosis as no single therapy is available. Change in life style, adding nutritional supplements to daily diet, avoiding over work and restless sleep and gentle massaging are general recommended therapies. Moderate low stress exercises are also recommended that prevent deconditioning and over activity.CFS is not generally caused due to depression but both can coexist rather many patients don not have any complaints of psychiatric disorders.

Recommendations

Patient should ask doctor to examine the functioning of their adrenal gland working. In case if hormones cause a slump in the energy levels, it can be boosted up taking Omega 3 fish oils (1,000-4,000 mg) daily. There must be a prompt check up on Iron or vitamin B12 deficiency. Taking excess tea and coffee with only few sips of water a day has dehydrated our bodies so adding liquid chlorophyll to drinking water will not only boost up the energy levels but also oxygenates the cells.

Causes of fibromyalgia

There are no clearly revealed causes of fibromyalgia. There is a chemical in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) called substance P responsible for transmitting pain impulse to the brain is generally 3 times higher in patients suffering from fibromyalgia than normal persons, which causes, the feel of pain more intensely.

There is another common thought that it arises due to improper sound sleep. Proper sleep relaxes the body from whole day’s hectic activities. There is no specific blood test or X-rays suggested for its diagnosis and the only possible way is by taking patient’s pain history.

It is believed that for fibromyalgia to be diagnosed muscle pain should be there for more than three-months. Pain mostly occurs at specific sites called tender points, which are basically fibromyalgia trigger points. There are total 18 tender points and most of them are located on back and neck. Fibromyalgia experts make the examination by applying pressure at those tender points; if the patient feels discomfort at any 11 of these points then the diagnosis for fibromyalgia will be positive.

Self care fibromyalgia treatment

As there is no proper fibromyalgia treatment available but home care remedies that can relieve some symptoms.A regular exercise for fibromyalgia keep muscles healthy by relieving discomfort. It is recommendable to always try low stress exercises like swimming, water aerobics, biking and walking rather stressful exercises such as weight lifting. Doing exercise regularly helps to keep muscles strong, boost energy levels and a sound sleep rather, applying heat to sore muscles and different stretching exercises of which Pilates is most effective. In Pilates a body uses its own weight as a resistance.

There is no proper prevention as no appropriate cause is fully understood. The only possible way is to adopt a healthy lifestyle and maintaining a positive approach towards optimal health.

Medical treatment

Different painkillers and analgesics are recommended to soothe deep muscle fibromyalgia pain. Sometimes antidepressants are prescribed to increase the amount of serotonins, reduce fatigue and ease pain.SSRIs are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors that are among the newest antidepressants. These are generally recommended along with tricyclics antidepressants that increase the restful sleep.

Migraine headache is a neurological disease and is 3 times more common in women than in men. Adolescents and children also suffer from migraine headache. Migraine headaches are caused by nerve cell production of pain signals including prostaglandins and serotonins often in response to brain blood vessel constriction which is followed by expansion.

Migraine symptoms include throbbing vascular headache which is quite painful. This severe headache is preceded and accompanied by warning signs that are sensory in nature like blind spots, flashes of light, vomiting, nausea, diarrhea, increased sensitivity to light and sound and tingling in arms and legs which delays the emptying of stomach into the small intestine thus affecting food absoption, decreasing blood circulation leading to cold hands and feet. Migraine headaches usually last for hours or even days.

Actually migraine headaches result from a combination of blood vessel enlargement and the subsequent release of chemicals from nerve fibres.During the headache, an artery located on the outside of the skull under temporal artery, enlarges and causes release of chemicals which cause pain, inflammation and further enlargement of the artery.

What Causes Migraines?

Factors that cause the headaches include:

Allergies

Loud noises

Bright lights

Sensitivity to perfumes

Irregular sleep

Smoking and exposure to smoke

Use of alcohol

Skipping meals

Fluctuations in menstrual cycle

Tension headaches

Weather changes

Caffeine

Foods that contain nitrates like hot dogs and lunch meats

Foods that contain monosodium glutamate, a flavor enhancer

Foods that contain tyramine

Aspartame

It is not necessary that these factors always produce headaches and avoiding them may help preventing migraine headaches.

Most of the people think that regular exercise is harmful for the joints but the fact is that if you plan a moderate exercise and maintain your body weight you will never face any joint problem. Whenever you exert extra load on your joints their activity and health surely damage. Do not involve your joints in very tough activities like pulling heavy weights ad over burden. It seriously can be harmful for your joints.

Include plenty of vegetables, fruits and Omega 3 fatty acid like fish oil in your food to take care of your joint health. You should use carbohydrates and fats in fewer amounts because accumulation of fats is the major cause of joint problems.

You can use a diet supplement for your joint care. It is observed that three ingredients are very much effective for the joint care like natural glucosmine, Omega 3 Fatty Acid (Cod Liver Oil) and Chondroitin.
